We are a group of farmers, landowners and town residents in Coxsackie and Athens that believe the Flint Mine Solar Project will have positive effects for our community. We built this site to offer our perspective on the project but also as a resource for people to learn more. Our aim is to offer information about the Flint Mine Project in particular but also solar farms in general and the zoning and regulatory processes through which projects like these come to be. You’ll find information about economic benefits for the towns, the state process of Article 10 and the resolution before the town planning board in Coxsackie to ban solar projects in residential and agricultural zones.
